The Central government has approved financial assistance of ₹288.93 crore. This aid aims to support the state in restoring normalcy and rebuilding infrastructure damaged by incessant rains and flash floods that wreaked havoc across various districts earlier this year.
The decision to extend this financial assistance was made after the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) assessed the extent of damage caused by the floods in Tripura. The team conducted a comprehensive survey of the flood-hit areas and evaluated the losses suffered by the state. Based on their assessment, the Centre sanctioned the relief fund under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).
