On Thursday, the Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gitte holds a meeting ahead of counting in Tripura. The meeting is held in South Tripura in Gomatia and Sipahijala. State Chief Secretary JK Sinha and Director General of Police (DGP) Amitabh Ranjan, and Other (DGP) Saurabh Tripathi were also present.
Other officials like District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police, and senior officers were also present. It was a review meeting. Guidelines for the counting of votes in recent assembly elections were discussed. The EC must follow the guidelines for smooth and error-free vote counting. Other meetings with political parties, candidates, and Election agents will be held by the DM, SPs, and Returning Officers.
