CM Manik Saha Inaugurated State’s First English Medium College

On Tuesday, chief minister Manik Saha inaugurated the first English medium school of the state. The college is located in the old building of the District Education and Training Centre and is named as Sri Aurobindo Government English Medium College. Chief minister Saha inaugurated the college in the presence of Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and the Mayor of Agartala Dipak Majumder.

While inaugurating the first English medium college of the state, Dr Saha described the day as a landmark in the history of education in the state and appreciated the Education Minister and the officials of the department for their relentless effort to make it a success.

Chief minister Manik Saha advise the students to utilise and take advantage of the facilities being provided by the government. he also mentioned that getting a degree should not be there only target. He told them to be true human beings and involve them in various social activities.

He said education is the backbone of society and his government is giving maximum importance in it.

Principal of the college Dipankar Chakraborty, and director of Higher Education NC Sharma were also on the occasion of inauguration of first English medium college of the college.

Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the priority of the government is the development of the human. He told the students to prepare themselves for the future.
