Flight Delays Added to Family’s Pain

The family faced more distress due to repeated disruptions in flight services. Even though the hospital completed the autopsy and cleared the paperwork quickly, the body could not reach Agartala on time. Several IndiGo flights were cancelled, and the airline gave the family no clear timeline.

As a result, Saptarshi’s parents had to return the body to the mortuary multiple times. Each cancellation increased their emotional struggle. His mother, Arpita Deb Sarkar, shared how the family kept receiving assurances of confirmed flights. However, the plans collapsed again and again. The three long days of uncertainty left the family devastated.

Community Gathers to Bid Farewell

After days of delay, the body finally arrived in Agartala on Monday. It was taken to the family home in Ramnagar. Soon after, neighbours, relatives and friends gathered to offer their tributes. Many of them remembered Saptarshi as a polite and hardworking young man. The entire locality mourned the loss, as the tragedy cut short the dreams of a youth who wanted to serve society through medicine.

Chief Minister Highlights the Scale of the Tragedy

Dr. Manik Saha’s visit showed the seriousness of the incident. He spoke with the family and assured them of full support. Moreover, he acknowledged the huge loss to the medical community. The tragedy affected not only the family but also the community. People from across the city expressed shock over the accident. Many also raised concerns about the recurring flight disruptions that added to the family’s suffering. Despite the sorrow, the community stood together to honour a young life filled with ambition and compassion.
