Chief Minister Manik Saha pledged to establish Yuva Awas in all Tripura districts to facilitate athletes from the state and beyond, ensuring their seamless accommodation. He made this announcement during the inauguration of the 200-bedded ‘Madhusudhan Saha Yuba Awas’ in Ambassa, Dhalai district.
Saha reminisced about the late Madhusudhan Saha, a distinguished gymnast who represented Tripura nationally and internationally, bringing numerous accolades to the state. He assured Madhusudhan Saha’s family of the government’s commitment to honoring his legacy, expressing gratitude to the Youth Affairs Department for initiating the endeavor.
Highlighting past challenges faced by athletes, Saha recalled instances where participants had to stay in schools during state sports meets. He emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring convenience for budding athletes by establishing Yuva Awas in every district, eliminating such obstacles.
Saha reiterated the government’s relentless efforts, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision, and emphasized self-awareness through activities like Yoga. He underscored the importance of understanding oneself and pledged to implement PM Modi’s directives diligently.
