Assam has completed five crore COVID-19 vaccinations, achieving another milestone. Till Tuesday, a total of 5,00,05,247 vaccine doses were administered, out of which 2,47,73,929 received the first dose, 2,20,20,263 the second dose and 32,11,055 as the precautionary dose.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on Twitter, “Five crore vaccination doses have been completed in Assam! Thanks to our dedicated healthcare and team of frontline workers for making this possible.
On the other hand, Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta while congratulating everyone said, Assam has achieved the milestone of 5 crore COVID vaccinations! Grateful for CM’s continued guidance and leadership. In July, Keshab Mahant launched a COVID booster dose vaccination campaign in solidarity with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The booster dose was provided free of cost to people in the age group of 18-59 years.
