The leaders of the Communist Party of India (CPIM) and the Congress Party stated that they will together hold a rally in Tripura to defend the Constitution and democracy of the state before the upcoming assembly elections.
Jitendra Choudhury, state secretary of the Communist Party of India, and Sudip Roy Barman, an MLA for the Congress, made a declaration at a news conference that the people who will join the rally do not bring any flags of another political party.
Those who want to preserve the Constitution and bring back democracy in Tripura will participate in the massive rally in front of Rabindra Bhavan.
He requested the citizens of Tripura to attend the march because it is necessary for the people to bring democracy back to the state.
