Owner Alleges Neighbours Poisoned His Dog
Jhuton claimed that his neighbours—Bikash Das, Bibhas Das and Priyanka Saha—poisoned the dog. According to him, they often complained that Bhulu was aggressive. However, he insisted that Bhulu was calm and never disturbed anyone. In addition, Jhuton alleged that the same neighbours had poisoned four of his earlier dogs as well. Therefore, he believed that his neighbours killed Bhulu intentionally.
Police Examine the Situation
The duty officer stepped outside to look at the dog’s body. He saw foam around the dog’s mouth, which immediately raised suspicion of poisoning. Meanwhile, Jhuton struggled to hold back tears while narrating the incident. The officer tried to comfort him and then informed him that the police would register his complaint. Furthermore, he assured the farmer that strict legal action would follow after the investigation.
Local Residents Express Concern
The incident quickly drew attention from locals. Many residents expressed concern about rising cases of animal cruelty in their area. Additionally, they highlighted frequent disputes over pets among neighbours. As a result, the police are now preparing a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of death and verify the allegations.
Farmer Seeks Justice for His Beloved Companion
For Jhuton, Bhulu was more than a pet. He considered him a loyal companion. Consequently, he wants justice and hopes the investigation will bring the truth to light. His complaint also shows growing awareness about animal rights and the importance of protecting domestic animals.
