Four shops were gutted in a devastating fire in front of Tripura University. Initially, the fire was believed to have started from a gas cylinder. Two fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Firefighters said that the amount of damage in the fire will be approximately two lakh rupees.
A fireman said that there was a report of a fire in a shop in front of Tripura University this morning. Based on that information, a fire engine was rushed. But the fire had spread so much that it was not possible to bring it under control. So, one more engine went and the fire was brought under control after a long struggle.
He also said that four shops were completely burnt down in the devastating fire. The fire is believed to have started from Khokon Chandra Rudrapal’s eatery. Because there were 2 cooking gas cylinders in that shop. The gas cylinder pipe opened and the fire spread. The flames spread to three other nearby shops. As a result, four shops were gutted.
He said, among the remaining three shops, one was a salon, another was an electrical equipment shop and the third was a Xerox shop. Firefighters said that the amount of damage in the fire will be approximately two lakh rupees.
