Samyog Living is redefining the way Indians perceive handcrafted home décor by bringing traditional aesthetics into contemporary homes—at affordable prices and with a strong focus on sustainability. While most online furniture and décor brands chase modern, global trends, Samyog Living draws inspiration from India’s rich cultural heritage and artisanal craftsmanship to deliver premium yet accessible products.

A Purpose-Driven Start

Founded by Yogesh Rajpurohit, with a deep-rooted passion for Indian art and design, Samyog Living was born out of a realization: while exquisite Indian handicrafts were being exported worldwide, Indian consumers had limited access to these treasures unless they were willing to pay premium prices at high-end stores.

During a trip abroad, Yogesh came across a stunning décor item labeled “Made in India,” which he could barely find back home. This moment sparked the idea—why not make globally exported, handcrafted Indian goods available to Indian customers at reasonable rates?

After facing reluctance from exporters to cater to the domestic market, Yogesh took the entrepreneurial leap and launched his own manufacturing unit to create and distribute handcrafted home products directly to consumers.

Bridging Craft with Contemporary Homes

Founded in 2024, Samyog Living began operations from a factory in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The product range includes furniture and décor made from wood, glass, metal, terracotta, pottery, and eco-friendly materials like Eco-Mix. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to blend traditional Indian artistry with modern-day utility.

What sets Samyog Living apart is its dual commitment—to aesthetic elegance rooted in heritage and to sustainable, earth-friendly production. “We’re not just creating décor; we’re reviving forgotten crafts, supporting artisan communities, and keeping environmental impact to a minimum,” says Yogesh Rajpurohit.

Samyog Living Launches Sustainable Furniture Line for Restaurants and Cafés

Continuing its commitment to eco-conscious craftsmanship, Samyog Living is proud to announce a new line of handcrafted furniture tailored for restaurants and cafés. Designed with hospitality in mind, these pieces blend functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal—perfect for creating inviting, culturally rich spaces.

Built using responsibly sourced wood and low-emission finishes, this new collection extends Samyog Living’s promise of sustainability to the commercial space. With in-house wood seasoning and recycled materials, the brand ensures minimal environmental impact without compromising on quality or style.

Each design is handcrafted by skilled artisans, many of whom are part of Samyog Living’s growing community. “Our artisans are the heart of our work,” says founder Yogesh Rajpurohit. “Their craftsmanship brings warmth and authenticity to every space.”

Whether it’s a cozy café corner or a fine-dining setup, the new range offers thoughtful, multi-functional designs that enhance ambience while supporting traditional Indian artistry. With this launch, Samyog Living brings its heritage-driven philosophy to the dining experience—where sustainability meets style.

Premium Yet Affordable

While premium handcrafted products are often synonymous with high price tags, Samyog Living is determined to break that notion. By manufacturing in-house and working directly with artisans, the brand is able to maintain quality while keeping prices accessible.

They now ship over 700 pieces each month through their own website and exports, with a growing presence in international markets like the UK, US, Europe, and Canada. Sales have seen exponential growth, with early revenue of just ₹5 lakhs in the first quarter rising to over ₹1 crore per month.

Overcoming Operational Hurdles

The journey hasn’t been easy. Finding skilled artisans was a major initial challenge. Many traditional craftsmen had either left the trade or were underpaid. Yogesh spent months scouting for artisans whose families had practiced these crafts for generations and eventually convinced them to relocate closer to the factory for a smoother production cycle.

Logistics posed another challenge. In the early days, up to 15% of goods were damaged in transit. To fix this, the brand invested heavily in better packaging techniques and handling systems, reducing breakage and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Sustainability at the Core

Eco-consciousness is a core pillar of Samyog Living. Sourcing raw materials responsibly and reducing carbon emissions is non-negotiable. From carefully selected wood and low-emission coatings to recycled materials and in-house wood seasoning, every effort is made to create beautiful products without harming the environment.

Yogesh explains, “Initially we sourced seasoned wood from Rajasthan, but now with our in-house seasoning unit, we cut costs and carbon emissions without compromising quality.”

Supporting India’s Artisans

At the heart of Samyog Living is a thriving community of artisans. With over 90 team members, including 60 skilled craftspeople, the company is committed to their well-being. Beyond employment, artisans receive housing support, healthcare, education for their children, and regular skill development sessions.

“Our artisans are not just workers—they’re our partners in growth,” says Yogesh. “When you value your people, the quality of work naturally reflects that.”

Each product undergoes rigorous quality checks before it is listed online. Attention to detail—from color and texture to finish—ensures that only the best reaches the customer.

Blending Form and Function

Samyog Living’s designs serve both aesthetic and practical purposes. Items like wall shelves, center tables, and storage pieces are designed to be multifunctional, catering to modern homes that value utility as much as style.

Customers often praise the brand’s ability to turn decorative pieces into functional art. “People love that a beautiful corner table also has hidden storage,” Yogesh shares.

Looking Ahead

Currently bootstrapped, Samyog Living has ambitious plans for the future. The brand intends to expand its furniture line with a stronger focus on solid wood and is exploring the launch of an eco-friendly clothing range using natural fibers like organic cotton and plant-based silk.

Unlike many brands eyeing offline expansion, Samyog Living remains committed to digital. “Online shopping for home décor was once rare, but now it’s second nature. We aim to become the go-to destination for sustainable, heritage-inspired products online,” Yogesh affirms.

Samyog Living stands out not just for its products, but for its purpose. By fusing India’s artisanal legacy with sustainable practices and a modern shopping experience, it offers more than just décor—it offers a story, a culture, and a connection to heritage in every piece.
