Home Minister Amit Shah To Hold Rallies In Tripura On Feb. 6 and 12.

There is a possibility of home minister Amit Shah to hold a series of rallies in Tripura on February and 12 . This is going to be held in his first political tour of the north-eastern state. This happened after its assembly poll schedule was announced by the (EC) Election Commission . Tripura is currently ruled by the BJP . The elections are going to take place on February. Nagaland and Meghalaya will also be conducting the elections on 27 February. The votes will be counted of all the three states on march 2.

These three elections may be smaller in terms of their electoral size but hold a really good political significance. The party sources stated that Amit shah will be holding public meetings in Meghalaya and Nagaland.

The elections in Tripura are around the corner . Various parties are almost ready for the elections .

Various Challenges Ahead Of The Tripura Police.

Ahead of these assembly elections, Tripura police are facing various challenges. These are drug menace, cross border movement of intruders, providing security to the VVIPs to over 300 election candidates. A police official stated,” The Election Commission also appreciated the efforts of the Tripura police . The political parties also had no major complaints about the policing of the Tripura Cops. The police official stated that besides undertaking anti-insurgency operations against the underground elements .The special measures have been taken in the mixed populated and ethnic sensitive areas. The police official further stated that the flag marches by the CAPF and the Tripura state rifles have been continued since the second week of January. This has done to ensure the confidence of building among the political workers for campaigning and among the citizens to cast their votes freely without any fear.

The security forces have been well positioned before the poll processes. This is done to get familiar with the locality.

Amitabh Ranjan , the Director General of police , stated ,” We would have ensure a peaceful and violence free elections. Officials and personnel are always on maximum alert to deal with any situation”.
