India reported 7,830 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the country’s total caseload to 40,215, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday. The daily positivity rate stood at 3.65%, while the weekly positivity rate was at 3.83%.
The country also witnessed 4,692 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,42,04,771. This indicates a recovery rate of 98.72%, which is a positive sign for India’s fight against the pandemic.
The Ministry’s data also showed that 2,14,242 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests conducted in the country to 92.32 crore. The increasing number of tests being conducted is helping to identify cases early, which in turn helps to prevent the spread of the virus.
In the last 24 hours, India administered 441 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, taking the total number of doses administered in the country to 220.66 crore. The vaccination drive is crucial in achieving herd immunity and preventing the further spread of the virus.
The active cases in the country currently stand at 0.09%, which is a positive sign. It shows that the number of active cases has significantly decreased, and the efforts taken by the government to contain the virus are paying off.
India’s fight against Covid-19 is ongoing, but the latest data is a positive sign. The increasing number of recoveries and decreasing active cases indicate that India is on the right path. However, it is important to continue following Covid-appropriate behaviour and get vaccinated to protect ourselves and those around us.
