Indian Institute of Mass Communication Gets Permanent Campus in Aizawl

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has got a permanent campus in Aizawl, Mizoram. This permanent campus in the North-East region will help students here to pursue their studies in journalism and digital media.

The complex was inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday.

In addition to short-term media and communication courses, postgraduate diploma courses in English Journalism and Digital Media will be offered.

With the main campus in New Delhi, IIMC currently has five regional campuses in Odisha, Mizoram, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra.

IIMC, Aizawl started functioning in 2011 from a temporary building provided by Mizoram University.

“I am pleased to inaugurate the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aizawl, which will promote media and mass communication studies throughout the North East,” the President said.
