To make learning Japanese easier for everyone, regardless of language background, Madhurima, a dedicated language learner, founded Koimichi. Koimichi strives to make learning enjoyable and attainable for everyone by providing professional assistance, cultural insights, and community support. Combining the words “Koi,” which means “love,” and “Michi,” which means “road,” the name Koimichi represents the “Road of Love.” According to Madhurima, acquiring a new language is an essential human characteristic and can lead to knowledge. She has taken part in two important programs in Japan: the Japan Foundation’s 2012 Japanese language teachers training program, and JICE’s 2009 East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth program.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Education from Kolkata University, Madhurima has practical experience in teaching Japanese. She has worked as a Japanese language faculty at MACE, a Japanese language coordinator and translator at Nomura Research Institute Financial Technologies, and more. She has also finished certification programs including the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths Program and the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (J4 level).
