Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged the Tripura Tea Development Corporation (TTDC) to adopt a proactive and forward-looking approach to become a fully self-reliant organisation. He emphasised that the tea sector holds immense potential for growth, employment generation, and economic transformation. The chief minister delivered this message during a review meeting held at the Civil Secretariat on Thursday with senior officials of the Industries and Commerce Department and TTDC authorities. Saha noted that the TTDC has made encouraging progress over the past year. The corporation has reduced losses by nearly 50 per cent, signalling improved operational efficiency and better management practices.
