Manipur, long marred by ethnic tensions and violence, is slowly showing signs of healing. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Sunil Ambekar, has asserted that Manipur moving toward peace is no longer a distant hope.
Speaking to reporters in Imphal on Sunday, Ambekar emphasized that normalcy is returning to the troubled northeastern state. He said people from diverse communities are engaging again and efforts for dialogue are ongoing.
“Positive Signs Emerging”
“There are positive signs that Manipur is moving toward peace. People are coming together. Communities are willing to talk. This is the beginning of real normalcy,” Ambekar said.
His remarks come amid persistent concerns about ethnic clashes and social unrest in several parts of the state.
RSS Urges Unity and Dialogue
Ambekar, who has been touring the region to assess the ground reality, highlighted that the situation requires patience and mutual trust.
“Peace cannot be enforced. It has to emerge through understanding, respect, and reconciliation,” he said.
He called upon civil society, religious groups, and political leaders to prioritize unity and cooperation over political agendas.
“Leaders must look beyond votes and focus on peace-building,” Ambekar stressed.

“Economic opportunities and social integration must go hand in hand,” Ambekar noted.
