In Agartala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji open several construction projects which cost more than ₹4350 crores. The projects include the Grih Pravesh Programme for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, projects for widening the Agartala bypass NH-08, and projects for improving 112 roads.
The State Institute of Hotel Management in Anandnagar and the Government Dental College in Agartala for NEET students are both opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The central government is spending thousands of crores of rupees on infrastructure development, and the Prime Minister said that the state governments are making every effort to demonstrate the outcomes on the ground and fulfilling the people’s demands.
Prime Minister Modi stated that the Northeast area via Tripura is becoming a gateway for international trade, he also discussed the new opportunities that will arise with the construction of the India-Thailand-Myanmar highway infrastructure and the Agartala-Akhaura railway line.
The development of the international terminal at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala has improved connectivity between the cities, therefore The Prime Minister said that Tripura State is becoming a significant Northeast transportation center in the state.
