As we all know tourism in North East is how vast. The good news for the tourists is that IRCTC has decided to launch a package named “North East Discovery.” This package is going to start on March 21st. It is a 15 days package that will involve all the tourist places in North East.
Undoubtedly North East is filled with numerous touristic spots. It is a perfect place for nature and a beautiful environment. The lush greenery is everywhere surrounding the states of North East. The package is a part of the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train scheme. It is also the initiative of the Government of India for “Dekho Apna Desh.” This is to promote domestic tourism in the country.
Prime Minister Modi while addressing a webinar on Developing Tourism in Mission Mode said, “India has a huge potential for tourism including coastal, beach, mangrove, Himalayan adventure, wildlife, eco heritage, and spiritual tourism.” Some people think that tourism is a fancy word, for high-income groups, but in India, it has a long socio-cultural context.”
The tour will take up on March 21st and will start from Delhi proceeding towards Guwahati then Naharlagun. After that, it will move to Sibsagar Town then Furkating, Kumarghat then Agartala. Then will head towards Dimapur and then back to Guwahati. The trip will cover Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya. It is a 15-day long trip.
Price
There will be a 33% concession by IRCTC for promoting tourism under Bharat Gaurav Train Scheme. The package includes 3 different types. For twin sharing the price will be INR 1,49,290. For cabin 1AC the price will be 1,50,100 to 1,29,400 INR. For 2AC the cost will be 1,25,090 to 1,04,390 INR. And for a child, the price will be 1,24,350. Without a bed will cost 1,21,760 INR. And for 2 AC a child’s bed cost 99,350 INR and without a bed is 96,750 INR.
