Tamang, a key player for the Sikkim Senior Men’s Team, has already arrived in England and is set to represent Felling Cricket Club in various competitions, including the prestigious ECB-affiliated North East Premier League. This league is part of the England and Wales Cricket Board’s Premier League structure, providing Tamang with an excellent platform to showcase his skills on an international stage.
Born on February 22, 1993, in Gangtok, Sikkim, Palzor Tamang has been a prominent figure in Indian domestic cricket. He made his List A debut for Sikkim in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy and his first-class debut in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. Tamang’s versatility as an all-rounder has been evident in his performances across formats. Notably, he became the first cricketer from Sikkim to claim a five-wicket haul in first-class cricket during a Ranji Trophy match against Manipur in 2020.
In January 2023, Tamang achieved another significant milestone by becoming the first player from Sikkim to take 50 wickets in first-class cricket. This accomplishment underscores his consistent performance and dedication to the sport.
