Police arrested four youths in Kamalnagar village of Sonamura in Sepahijala district on Sunday. The accused were detained on the charge of instigating violence following the results of the just concluded assembly poll. The police found the accused involved in the attacks on several left supporters in Sonamura area.
During the raid, police were able to catch four of the gang with two pistols, while the rest fled away. The investigation is ongoing to find out the source of the arms, and the search is continuing to arrest the others of the gang.
It’s concerning to hear about incidents of violence and possession of firearms, and it’s important for law enforcement agencies to take swift action to maintain law and order in the area. “Investigation is going on to find out the source of the arms,” said OC Sonamura PS Manik Debnath adding that the search has been continuing to arrest the others of the gang.
