Police Seized 400 kg of Ganja at the Assam-Tripura Border

Assam Police has seized a consignment of over 400 kg of ganja from a truck during a major operation. An official said on Tuesday that the consignment was seized by the police in Churaibari area of ​​Karimganj district on the Assam-Tripura border. According to the report, a senior police officer of Karimganj said, late Monday night, a truck trying to enter the district from Tripura was stopped by the police team. Without delay, the truck driver and his helper fled from the spot.

According to the police, a total of 410 kg of ganja was seized from a hidden chamber when the vehicle was searched. The price of this hemp is said to be Rs 41 lakh in the market. The police officer said that an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
