In a significant move toward advancing inclusive governance, Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, Managing Director of Search Ends Inclusions Impact, and co-founder Siddharthh Y Ayare met with Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Education, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, at his Parliament office to present a visionary framework for DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Certification and education policy reform.
Search Ends Inclusions Impact is a DEI-focused initiative dedicated to fostering meaningful inclusion across sectors. Under the leadership of Prince Manvendra—India’s first openly gay royal and a globally recognized human rights advocate—the organization offers services such as DEI sensitization workshops, DEI certification for institutions, inclusive talent pool creation, and confidential counseling. What sets the initiative apart is its “lived-experience-led” approach, with programs created and delivered by members of the very communities they aim to support—LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, veterans, and those living with HIV.
During the meeting, Prince Manvendra proposed the development of a National DEI Certification Model, a structured system to assess and recognize organizations and institutions based on their inclusivity standards. The goal is to embed DEI principles not only in hiring but across infrastructure, policies, culture, and leadership.
“Diversity without inclusion is incomplete. We must move from intent to action, backed by frameworks that are authentic and accountable,” said Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil. “A national DEI certification will help organizations become truly inclusive, not just in appearance but in everyday practice.”
Siddharthh Y Ayare emphasized the urgent need for educational reforms that include inclusive curriculum design, teacher sensitization, and recognition of informal learning among marginalized communities. “Education policy must reflect the lived realities of those it serves,” he noted.
Minister Jayant Chaudhary welcomed the discussion and acknowledged the importance of integrating DEI into national education strategies. He expressed interest in further exploring collaborative initiatives and pilot programs with Search Ends Inclusions Impact.
This meeting marks a significant moment in bridging civil society leadership with government policymaking to ensure systemic inclusion and equitable opportunity for all.
