Outreach for Veterans
The rally aims to strengthen ties between the Army and its veteran community. Organisers are conducting the programme with the support of the Rajya Sainik Board to ensure comprehensive outreach and welfare support.
Officials described the event as a dedicated platform to address the concerns of veterans and their families. The initiative will provide a single-window system for resolving long-pending issues under one roof.
On-the-Spot Assistance
Authorities will offer focused assistance in several key areas. These include grievance redressal, pension-related queries, and documentation support. Officials will also facilitate services related to the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).
Medical and dental camps will operate at the venue to provide health check-ups. Veterans can also access Canteen Stores Department (CSD) facilities during the rally.
Organisers expect senior military officials to attend the programme. They will interact with veterans and Veer Naris and felicitate them in recognition of their service to the nation.
Honouring Service and Sacrifice
The event will feature cultural performances followed by a traditional Badakhana. The programme aims to foster camaraderie among veterans and serving personnel.
Officials said the rally will create opportunities for serving soldiers to connect with those who previously served the nation. The interaction will strengthen mutual respect and understanding across generations of soldiers.
The Red Shield Division highlighted that such initiatives reflect the Army’s continued commitment to the welfare of Ex-Servicemen. The programme also seeks to empower Veer Naris by ensuring access to welfare schemes and institutional support.
By organising coordinated outreach efforts, the Army aims to honour the service and sacrifice of veterans while addressing practical challenges they may face.
The Ex-Servicemen Rally at Agartala Military Station is expected to draw a large number of participants from Tripura and neighbouring areas, reinforcing the enduring bond between the armed forces and the veteran fraternity.
