Teen Killed, Another Critical in Motorcycle Accident in Kailashahar

Kailashahar was shaken by a tragic road accident on Wednesday morning after a speeding motorcycle lost control, killing one teenager and leaving another critically injured. The incident triggered shock and grief across the locality.

The accident occurred at around 9 am when two teenage friends were riding a motorcycle from Baburbazar towards Tilla Bazar. The motorcycle, bearing registration number TR-02-J-8100, reportedly went out of control before crashing on the road.

Victims Identified as Two Minors

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Kayum (15), son of Abdul Gaffar, a resident of the Irani area under Ward No. 6. The injured teenager, Samsuddin (15), is the son of SPO jawan Asab Ali and hails from East Yazekhaora.

Both boys sustained severe injuries due to the impact of the crash.

Locals Rush to Help

Local residents rushed to the spot after hearing a loud crash. They rescued the injured teenagers and immediately alerted the Fire and Emergency Services.

Firefighters, with assistance from locals, shifted both victims to the Unakoti District Hospital for emergency treatment. The prompt response helped ensure quick medical attention.

One Declared Dead at Hospital

Doctors at Unakoti District Hospital declared Abdul Kayum dead on arrival. His sudden death left family members and residents in deep shock.

The condition of Samsuddin worsened shortly after admission. Doctors referred him to GB Hospital in Agartala for advanced medical care. Hospital sources said he remains in critical condition.

Speeding Suspected as Cause

Preliminary investigation suggests that overspeeding caused the rider to lose control of the motorcycle. Police believe reckless riding played a major role in the fatal crash.

Authorities are examining the circumstances of the accident and have reiterated the importance of road safety, especially for minors.

Community in Mourning

The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the Kailashahar area. Residents expressed concern over the growing number of road accidents involving teenagers.

The accident has once again highlighted the dangers of underage riding, speeding, and lack of safety awareness. Locals have urged parents and authorities to take stricter steps to prevent minors from riding vehicles illegally.
