Massive Rally Held in Bodhjung Nagar-Waki Nagar
On Tuesday morning, Tipra Motha organized a large poll procession in the Bodhjung Nagar-Waki Nagar (No. 14) ADC constituency. The rally supported party candidate Runiel Debbarma. Party workers, leaders, and supporters joined the event in large numbers.
Block president Dipak Debbarma led the procession along with Runiel Debbarma and other local leaders. The strong turnout reflected growing support for the party in the constituency.
Procession Marked by Enthusiasm
The rally began from the Chakma Kami area under the Waki Nagar Village Committee. Supporters marched through the area with high energy. They sang, danced, and raised slogans in support of the party and its candidate.
The procession moved across several localities and ended at Bhim Sadhu Para under the Birmohan Village Committee. A public meeting took place at the final stop, where leaders addressed the gathering.
Leaders Express Confidence in Victory
Speaking to the media, Runiel Debbarma expressed strong confidence in winning the election. He pointed to his victory in 2021 as proof of public trust. He said that voters continue to support his work and leadership.
“The response from the people has been very encouraging. We believe voters will support us again,” he said.
Dipak Debbarma also shared similar views. He stated that the party has gained strong support across the constituency. He added that Tipra Motha expects a decisive mandate in the upcoming polls.
Criticism of BJP Government
The leaders criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its campaign strategy. They accused the party of spreading misinformation against Tipra Motha and its leadership.
They also targeted the BJP-led state government over funding issues. According to them, the government has failed to provide adequate funds to the ADC. They claimed that this has slowed development in tribal areas.
Dipak Debbarma said that many key issues affecting indigenous communities remain unresolved. He added that voters are aware of these concerns and will respond through their votes.
Focus on Indigenous Rights and Development
Tipra Motha leaders stressed their commitment to protecting indigenous rights. They said the party aims to ensure balanced development across ADC areas. They also highlighted the importance of preserving identity, culture, and resources.
The leaders expressed confidence that the party could achieve a strong victory. They believe public dissatisfaction with the current government may work in their favor.
Crucial Election Ahead
The April 12 ADC election remains a key political event in Tripura. Several parties are competing for control of the council. The outcome will influence governance and development in tribal regions.
As campaigning continues, voter engagement is expected to increase further. The final days before polling will likely see more rallies and political outreach across the state.
