Strict security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order in Sadar Sub-Division on the day of counting of votes. Sadar Divisional Police Officer Ajay Kumar Das said this while visiting the counting center at Umakant Academy in Agartala today. He also claimed that there will be no defect in overall security.

He said that the counting of votes for 14 assembly constituencies will take place on March 2 at Agartala Umakant Academy. That is why security measures have been taken. He further informed that on the day of counting of votes, measures have been taken to station security personnel at separate places so that no conflict or unpleasant situation occurs between any political party.

He said plainclothes police would be deployed outside and inside the polling station. Besides, police will be deployed in front of party offices of various political parties. More than 30 mobile vans will be patrolled by central security personnel across the city. Central security personnel will do their work throughout the day. On this day, Ajay Kumar Das said that those who have a criminal record are being called to the police station and given advance warning.
