Emphasis on Self-Reliant
The Chief Minister pointed out that the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision was now visibly shaping the nation’s defence strength. He said India had taken bold steps to invest in domestic defence production. Besides, which has resulted in reduced imports and a surge in indigenous innovation.
“Today, our armed forces are stronger, more agile, and equipped with state-of-the-art technologies developed within our own nation,” Dr. Saha stated. He credited the Modi government’s long-term planning for encouraging start-ups, research institutes, and industries to contribute to the defence sector.
Role of Drone Technology
Highlighting the changing nature of warfare, Dr. Saha stressed that drone technology had emerged as a game-changer. From surveillance in sensitive border regions to neutralising threats in counter-insurgency operations. Drones are now integral to India’s anti-terror strategy.
He added that this technological edge had given Indian forces a significant advantage in monitoring hostile movements and responding swiftly to security threats. “The use of drones has not only strengthened our operational efficiency but also saved countless lives in the field,” he noted.
Boost to National Security & self-reliant military
Dr. Saha asserted that the advancements in defence were directly linked to national security. With the rise of asymmetric warfare and global terror networks, India’s focus on cutting-edge technology was crucial to safeguarding its sovereignty.
He further said that India’s defence modernization was not only aimed at countering external threats but also at ensuring peace and stability within the country.
PM Modi’s Leadership Praised
The Tripura CM credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for making India a global leader in defence technology. Regional Security and Global Standing
