Agartala, Tripura — In a significant move to bolster public service and uphold transparency, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha distributed appointment letters to 479 newly recruited officials across various government departments on Sunday.
Speaking to ANI, CM Saha highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts in job creation since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumed power in the state.
“Since the BJP government came to power in Tripura, around 16,000 jobs have been provided directly in the government sector,” he said. “Even today, we have secured jobs in departments such as the PWD (Public Works Department), Cooperative Bank, and Social Welfare Department. This has been a consistent effort.”
The chief minister emphasized that this recruitment drive aligns closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of merit-based and transparent appointments.
“The Honourable Prime Minister has stressed that there should be transparency in the recruitment process, and we have ensured that here,” Saha stated. “This commitment is bringing in quality candidates, leading to improved office functioning and greater public satisfaction.”
Highlighting the unbiased nature of the recruitment process, CM Saha added, “No candidate needs to approach any political leader to secure a job. They simply sit for the exam, and based on their merit, they are appointed. This process ensures fairness and builds trust among the people.”
During the event, the chief minister personally congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to serve the public with dedication and integrity.
“I congratulated the newly appointed officials and encouraged them to work diligently. Tripura’s government is performing strongly across various parameters, and our national-level rankings continue to improve,” he remarked.
This mass recruitment not only strengthens the government workforce but also underscores Tripura’s commitment to delivering better public services through efficient and merit-based governance.
