The new platform will also complement the state government’s existing Amar Sarkar portal, which provides a channel for citizens to raise concerns and seek government assistance.
The initiative aims to improve communication between residents and civic authorities. However, officials have not specified the system’s operating procedures or the expected response time for complaints.
Two Drinking Water Projects Worth ₹18.17 Crore
During the event at Rabindra Bhavan, the Chief Minister virtually laid the foundation stones for two drinking water projects in Collegetila under AMC Ward No. 24.
The projects include a surface water treatment plant with a capacity of 6.81 million litres and an overhead water tank with a capacity of 680 kilolitres.
According to Saha, the two projects will cost a total of ₹18.17 crore. They aim to strengthen drinking water infrastructure and improve access to safe water for residents.
Saha said clean drinking water was essential for creating a citizen-friendly urban environment. He added that the state government was working to ensure a reliable supply of safe drinking water in every municipal ward.
Rapid Response Team Gets New Vehicles
The Chief Minister also flagged off 10 vehicles equipped with modern facilities for the Chief Minister’s Rapid Response Team.
The vehicles and truck-mounted water tankers were procured at a cost of ₹2.78 crore, according to the statement. The new fleet is expected to support civic operations and help authorities respond to public needs.
The move forms part of the government’s broader effort to improve urban service delivery and strengthen its response to civic problems.
CM Addresses Road and Pipeline Disruptions
Saha acknowledged that ongoing road construction and water pipeline projects had caused temporary inconvenience in some parts of Agartala.
However, he said the problems would be resolved after the development work was completed. He also alleged that drinking water infrastructure in the city had not undergone renovation during the previous 25 years of government, contributing to difficulties for residents.
The new projects and digital complaint system are intended to address infrastructure concerns while improving access to public services.
