Governor Attends Mann Ki Baat with Students
Agartala: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu listened to the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat with students at the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Khumulwng on Sunday.
After the programme, the Governor interacted with the students and encouraged them to understand and adopt the values and ideas highlighted during the Prime Minister’s address. Furthermore, he discussed the themes presented in the broadcast.
Governor Reviews EMRS Infrastructure
The Governor also inspected the Eklavya Model Residential School campus.
During the visit, he reviewed classrooms, the library, hostel and other academic and residential facilities. Additionally, he interacted with teachers and school officials to understand the institution’s functioning.
Senior officials, including West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Vishal Kumar, Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), and other officials attended the programme.
Visit to Women-Led SHG Cluster
Later, Governor Nallu visited the Roshni Mahila Cluster Bahumukhi Samabaya Samiti Limited at Mohanpur.
The President of the Roshni Cluster Level Federation briefed him about the organisation’s activities, products, achievements and future plans. Moreover, the Governor interacted with members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and appreciated their efforts in promoting rural livelihoods.
Tree Plantation and Bamboo Unit Inspection
As part of the visit, the Governor planted a tree sapling on the premises of the Roshni Cluster Level Federation.
Subsequently, he visited a bamboo production unit operated by the Dipabali Self-Help Group, where he interacted with women engaged in bamboo-based livelihood activities.
Governor Reviews Beneficiary’s Ducklings Project
The Governor later visited the residence of Sova Debbarma at Keparam Para under Purba Noagaon Gram Panchayat in the Old Agartala RD Block.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of her ducklings project. Officials said Debbarma had received the ducklings earlier during a distribution programme organised at Lok Bhavan. Meanwhile, the Governor enquired about the project’s progress and encouraged the beneficiary.
