Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the remote Bata Para area under Ganganagar R.D. block in the Ambassa Sub-Division of Dhalai District to assess ongoing development initiatives and interact with local villagers. During his visit, he reviewed several government schemes, listened to people’s concerns, and underlined the importance of inclusive growth and improved connectivity in the region. The Governor said that the welfare of citizens in remote areas remains a top priority for both the state and central governments.
The visit aimed to bring attention to the challenges faced by people living in distant tribal regions and to ensure that development benefits reach every household. Interaction with Villagers and Local Authorities
During his visit to Bata Para, the Governor interacted directly with villagers to understand their daily struggles and aspirations. The residents spoke about issues related to transportation, education, and healthcare. Many also raised concerns about employment opportunities and access to government welfare schemes.
Governor Nallu assured them that their grievances would receive due attention. He said that no citizen in Tripura should feel left behind, regardless of where they live. He stressed that effective administration must reach even the most isolated corners of the state. The Governor also emphasised that active community participation is essential for the success of development programmes.
Local officials accompanied the Governor throughout his visit. They briefed him about various ongoing projects, including rural road construction under PMGSY, healthcare initiatives under Ayushman Bharat, and livelihood programmes through self-help groups. The Governor directed them to work more efficiently and ensure that benefits are delivered without delays.
Focus on Infrastructure and Education
Governor Nallu highlighted that improving infrastructure is crucial for long-term development in Dhalai. He said that roads and connectivity form the foundation of economic progress, especially in hilly and tribal-dominated areas like Bata Para. Better transportation, according to him, will help villagers access schools, hospitals, and markets more easily.
He visited local schools to meet teachers and students, encouraging them to stay focused on education. “Education is the key to empowerment. Every child, no matter where they live, deserves access to quality learning,” the Governor said. He urged teachers to motivate students and to help reduce dropout rates.
The Governor also stressed the importance of skill-based education for rural youth. He noted that the government is working to expand vocational training programmes that can equip young people with practical skills and make them self-reliant. He added that strong education and skill development can help reduce migration from rural areas to cities.
Tripura Governor Dhalai Visit Highlights Health and Welfare Initiatives
During his Dhalai visit, Governor Nallu inspected health centres to review the availability of medical staff, medicines, and facilities. He interacted with doctors and healthcare workers, advising them to strengthen outreach services in remote areas. He said that every villager should have access to healthcare, especially mothers and children.
He also visited anganwadi centres and spoke with staff about the implementation of child nutrition and maternal health programmes. The Governor encouraged workers to continue their efforts to ensure that all children receive nutritious meals and early education. “The foundation of a healthy nation lies in healthy children and mothers,” he said.
Governor Nallu praised healthcare workers for their commitment, especially those serving in challenging rural areas. He said that their contribution plays a vital role in making government initiatives successful.
Emphasis on Inclusive Growth and Connectivity
The Governor reiterated that development must be inclusive and reach everyone, particularly those living in remote tribal areas like Bata Para. He said that both the state and central governments are working closely to ensure the welfare of all citizens.
He pointed out that better connectivity is essential to bridge the gap between rural and urban regions. Improved roads, mobile networks, and digital access can transform the lives of people in these regions. The Governor said that enhanced infrastructure will not only improve economic activities but also strengthen education and healthcare systems.
He urged officials to prioritise connectivity projects and complete them within set deadlines. “Development cannot be limited to cities; it must reach the remotest villages. Every road built, every school improved, and every family supported adds to Tripura’s growth story,” he stated.
Call for Transparency and Accountability
At the end of his visit, Governor Nallu met with local administrators and reviewed the progress of key government schemes. He advised officials to maintain transparency in fund utilisation and ensure that resources are used effectively. He also encouraged them to engage more closely with citizens to identify local needs and deliver results faster.
The Governor highlighted that good governance depends on accountability. He said that every official must treat development as a mission and work sincerely to achieve visible change on the ground. “Real progress is measured not by reports but by the smiles of the people who benefit from it,” he remarked.
He expressed confidence that Dhalai district would witness stronger growth in the coming years with continued cooperation between the administration and local communities. The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to visit more remote areas across Tripura to monitor development first-hand.
Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu’s visit to Bata Para served as a reminder of the government’s dedication to ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Tripura. His interaction with villagers, review of welfare schemes, and emphasis on connectivity and education reflect a clear vision for rural progress driven by transparency, participation, and compassion.
