Agartala : Several senior political leaders from across Northeast India gathered on a common platform during a large public rally in Agartala , Astable today, drawing significant public interest and participation.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, Assam People’s Party founder Daniel Langthasa, and former BJP national spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon were among the prominent leaders who addressed the event. They were joined by Ajay Edwards of the Indian Gorkha Janashakti Front, along with representatives from various regional organisations.
During their speeches, the leaders highlighted key issues affecting the Northeastern region, including cultural preservation, political representation, identity concerns, and the need for sustainable development. They stressed the importance of strengthening collective efforts to address long-pending challenges relating to land rights, economic inequality, and community welfare.
