CM Saha Inaugurates Major Projects
During the ceremony, CM Manik Saha inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects in the Chawmanu area. These include the new building of Chawmanu Class XII School, the new Chawmanu Fire Station, the new office of the Executive Engineer under the Manu RD Division, and a Wayside Amenity at Manu.
He said these projects will bring direct benefits to people living in remote regions. The new school building will improve education for local students, while the fire station will enhance safety. The Wayside Amenity will boost tourism and help local traders. The new RD office will make administrative work faster and more efficient.
CM Saha added that the government is working tirelessly to strengthen basic facilities in the interior parts of the state. He said development is not just about building infrastructure but also about ensuring that it improves the quality of people’s lives.
Tripura’s Development Hinges on Janajati Areas
Dr. Saha reiterated that Tripura’s development hinges on Janajati areas because they form the heart of the state’s identity and culture. He said that unless Janajati regions grow, Tripura’s progress will remain incomplete. The government has launched several schemes focused on education, healthcare, skill training, and self-employment to uplift these areas.
He praised the successful rehabilitation of Bru families and said that the government is working to make them self-reliant. By distributing toolkits to skilled Bru candidates, the administration hopes to create sustainable livelihood options for them. CM Saha said that empowering these communities will help build a strong social and economic foundation for the entire state.
Bru Candidates Receive Toolkits
The State Level Toolkits Distribution Ceremony was an important part of the event. Skilled Bru candidates received toolkits to help them start income-generating activities. CM Saha said that the initiative reflects the government’s long-term goal of transforming the lives of rehabilitated Bru families.
He also thanked officials and organizations that supported the rehabilitation process. He said that by providing skill training and tools, the government is giving Bru youth a fair chance to build a better future. He added that when people gain confidence through work, they contribute to the state’s growth in meaningful ways.
Swabalamban Yojana Promotes Self-Reliance
CM Saha also flagged off six autos under the Swabalamban Yojana during the program. He said that under this scheme, the government provides a subsidy of Rs 1 lakh to promote self-employment among youth. The initiative focuses on encouraging entrepreneurship and reducing unemployment, especially in Janajati areas.
He said that the government wants to inspire young people to become job creators rather than job seekers. The subsidy and financial aid provided under Swabalamban Yojana help youth start small businesses and build a steady source of income. CM Saha added that similar schemes will continue to reach more beneficiaries in the coming months.
He emphasized that real development happens when people can sustain themselves and improve their living conditions without depending on others. Through schemes like Swabalamban Yojana, the state aims to achieve that goal.
Education, Safety, and Connectivity Drive Progress
Highlighting the newly inaugurated Chawmanu Class XII School, CM Saha said that improving educational facilities remains one of the government’s main goals. Quality education helps young minds from Janajati communities gain confidence and compete at national levels. He said that modern classrooms and better facilities will ensure that students in remote areas get equal opportunities.
He also spoke about the importance of safety and infrastructure. The Chawmanu Fire Station will strengthen local emergency services and protect lives and property during disasters. The new Wayside Amenity at Manu will serve travelers and promote tourism, creating new business opportunities for locals.
Saha said that development projects like these will encourage growth in every sector. He added that improving connectivity, education, and safety will create a chain of progress that benefits all communities.
Inclusive Growth and Government Vision
Dr. Saha said the government’s development plan focuses on inclusivity, ensuring that every citizen participates in the state’s growth story. He said the administration is implementing several schemes to uplift rural and Janajati populations by providing access to better housing, healthcare, and employment.
He explained that when Janajati regions flourish, the entire state prospers. Therefore, the government continues to channel resources and attention toward their progress. He said that the people of Tripura have shown resilience, and their unity will drive the state to new heights.
Saha also mentioned that the state’s efforts align with the central government’s mission to develop the North East region as a hub of connectivity and growth. He said that Tripura is already witnessing positive changes in road development, education, and entrepreneurship due to this combined approach.
CM Saha’s Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, CM Saha said that his government will continue to strengthen its focus on the welfare of Janajati areas. He said that future initiatives will aim to enhance employment, education, and healthcare while preserving cultural values. He also expressed confidence that Tripura will soon emerge as one of the most progressive states in the North East.
He concluded by saying, “Tripura’s development hinges on Janajati areas, and our government is determined to ensure that every citizen, regardless of background, benefits from our growth initiatives.”
With his commitment to balanced progress and people-centric policies, CM Saha continues to lead Tripura toward a future built on inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity.
