The city of Agartala came alive with creativity and artistic brilliance as it hosted the highly anticipated photography exhibition “Walking Lens 2.0” from September 28-29, 2024. Held at the prestigious Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, the event celebrated the diverse beauty and cultural essence of Tripura and beyond through the lens of local and regional photographers.

With over 50 striking photographs on display, the exhibition provided a platform for seasoned and budding photographers to showcase their unique perspectives. The stunning collection of images took visitors on a visual journey, capturing landscapes, portraits, and cultural narratives. Each photograph reflected the depth and diversity of photographic art in the region, with every frame telling its own story.

The event was graced by the presence of Tripura’s renowned photographer, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, who served as the Chief Guest. The exhibition also drew the attention of prominent figures from Tripura’s art and culture community. Attendees were treated to interactive sessions where they engaged with the artists, gaining valuable insights into their inspirations, techniques, and creative processes.

Organized by the Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society in collaboration with Streets of Tripura, “Walking Lens 2.0” was not just a celebration of photography but also a testament to the cultural vibrancy and community spirit of the region. The exhibition succeeded in positioning Agartala as a growing hub for artistic innovation and photographic excellence.

Photographers who contributed to the success of the event included Ayush Shil, Hriday Adhikari, Papiya Debnath, Vivek Roy, Abhinaba Das, Saptadeep Sarma, Priyankar Das, Saumalya Sengupta, Sourajit Deb, Suraj Kumar Deb, Basudeb Chakraborty, Arnab Biswas, Anuj Tiwari, Ritesh Sutradhar, Joydeep Bhattacharjee, Swavic Debnath, Tanusree Das, Kaushik Deb, Pritam Dalal, Ruhit Debnath, Sajib Bhowmik, and Prasenjit Debnath.
