The World Fund for Development and Planning, under the leadership of President Ambassador Ekramy El Zaghat, has expressed strong disagreement with the recent remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan.

In a statement released today, Ambassador El Zaghat, who also serves as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, reiterated the Fund’s commitment to supporting the positions of both Egypt and Jordan. He highlighted that the Egyptian government has consistently maintained a clear and unwavering stance on the Palestinian issue.

Furthermore, the President of the World Fund for Development and Planning indicated that should American threats or suggestions pertain to the financial assistance provided to Egypt, the Fund stands ready to bolster Egypt’s efforts and promote investments that would enhance its economic independence. He emphasized the importance of respecting Egypt’s sovereignty, asserting that decisions made by Egypt and the Arab world are deeply rooted in their own internal will and are not subject to external influence.

El Zaghat also affirmed Egypt’s capability to protect its national security and territory, emphasizing that both the leadership and the populace of Egypt remain steadfast in their support for the Palestinian cause, which has been a long-standing commitment, despite the significant challenges faced throughout the Arab region.
