Strengthening Learning Infrastructure Across Districts

According to CM Khandu, strong infrastructure is essential for quality education. Therefore, the ₹750 crore funding will focus on constructing new classrooms, smart labs, libraries, and digital resource centers.

The Arunachal CM launches ₹750 cr education projects to minimize disparities between urban and rural schools. By upgrading facilities in remote areas, the government hopes to create equal learning opportunities.

Additionally, the initiative includes the development of playgrounds, sports facilities, and teacher quarters to create a complete academic environment.

Widespread Reach Across Arunachal

The projects will cover over 20 districts, including Tawang, Ziro, Longding, and Pasighat. Each district will benefit from improved infrastructure tailored to its specific needs. For instance, tribal areas will receive additional hostels to accommodate students from remote villages.

In Itanagar, Roing, and Aalo, the government will also establish new teacher training institutes to boost the quality of teaching across government schools.

CM Khandu emphasized the importance of timely completion and assured that all construction will follow strict quality standards.

Integrating Digital Tools in Classrooms

One of the project’s key highlights is the integration of modern digital tools into classrooms. To achieve this, smart boards, online learning modules, and virtual training platforms will be installed in newly constructed schools.

The Arunachal CM launches ₹750 cr education projects not just to expand physical infrastructure, but also to empower students through technology. Consequently, the move aims to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban learners.

Education Minister Taba Tedir noted that the state is committed to bringing digital parity in education. In his words, “This is a major leap toward tech-enabled learning in government schools.”

Focus on Inclusive Development

In line with its inclusive policies, the government has designed the projects to benefit marginalized communities. It will prioritize building girls’ hostels and providing scholarships for tribal students.

New residential facilities for female students will be developed in West Siang, Tirap, and East Kameng. Meanwhile, tribal belts will receive targeted educational support to improve overall enrollment and retention rates.

Moreover, the projects align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, supporting long-term goals for inclusive and equitable education.

Strong Monitoring and Fast-Track Implementation

To maintain momentum and ensure transparency, a dedicated Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) will track progress. This unit will coordinate between departments, resolve delays, and conduct regular quality checks.

In addition, third-party audits will be conducted periodically to guarantee effective fund utilization.

The CM stated that 80% of the projects should be completed within the next 24 months. Construction for the first phase is expected to start by July 2025.

Positive Response from Educators and Students

Teachers’ associations and student unions have widely welcomed the government’s decision. According to the Arunachal Teachers’ Association, the plan shows “genuine commitment to long-term education reform.”

A student from Government College, Bomdila, said, “Upgraded labs and classrooms will help us compete better in national-level exams. We’re truly grateful.”

This large-scale support highlights how impactful the Arunachal CM launches ₹750 cr education projects initiative could be.

Conclusion: A Step Toward Empowerment

By launching this massive ₹750 crore initiative, the Arunachal CM has taken a major step toward improving the state’s education system. The projects not only focus on physical upgrades but also ensure inclusive access and digital advancement.
