Dr. Manik Saha, the chief minister of Tripura stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party will compete for 55 seats in the upcoming Tripura Assembly Election in the state. He will contest the election from the Town of Bardowali.
The seat-sharing agreement between the BJP and its former ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) for the February 16 assembly election has been finalized.
Eleven women, including Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik, are on the saffron party’s first list of 48 candidates for the Tripura Assembly Election. Manik Saha told that the remaining seven nominees’ names will be revealed later.
Nominations must be submitted by the end of January 30. Voting will take place on February 16 and the results will be announced on March 2.
