BJP Organizes Food Distribution Programme to Mark One Year of Dr. Manik Saha’s Chief Ministership

In commemoration of Dr. Manik Saha’s one year of chief ministership, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a food distribution programme in the Kaman Chaumuhuni area. Dr. Manik Saha had taken oath as the chief minister of the state on May 15 last year, following the resignation of former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb. After the BJP’s victory in the February 16 assembly elections, Dr. Saha was reelected to the post by the BJP legislature party. Ward no. 20 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) took the initiative to organize the free food distribution programme for the underprivileged in the area, with the presence of councillor Ratna Dutta.

To mark the one year of Dr. Manik Saha’s chief ministership, a food distribution programme was organized in the Kaman Chaumuhuni area. The event aimed to provide free meals to the poor and needy. The initiative was taken by the BJP, recognizing the importance of celebrating this milestone in Dr. Saha’s leadership journey. Councillor Ratna Dutta played an integral role in organizing the programme, ensuring its successful execution.

Former chief minister Biplab Deb’s recent comment suggesting that the BJP party in Tripura is indirectly influenced by external elements has had little impact within the party. The party workers and supporters have shown resilience and have continued their work unaffected by the unsavory and baseless remark. This was evident during the ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ held in Charilam, where all senior leaders of the party, including central leaders Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Phanindra Nath Sharma, were present. Even West Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik, who has been somewhat distant from the state leadership, including Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, attended the event and actively participated in the proceedings.

The ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ held in Charilam showcased the unity and strength of the BJP in Tripura. The event brought together senior party leaders, including central leaders, indicating their unwavering support for the party’s objectives and vision. Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Phanindra Nath Sharma’s presence highlighted the significance of the gathering, emphasizing the central leadership’s commitment to the party’s growth in Tripura.

Notably, West Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik, who is often seen as distant from the state leadership, was present at the ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ and actively participated in the proceedings. This demonstrated her willingness to collaborate and work together with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and other party leaders for the betterment of the state.

Despite the controversial comment made by former CM Biplab Deb, the BJP in Tripura has remained resilient and focused on its mission. The party workers and supporters have continued their regular activities and responsibilities, unaffected by the unnecessary distraction caused by the statement. The high attendance of senior leaders at the ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ serves as evidence of their dedication to the party’s goals and their determination to work together, undeterred by external influences.
