In commemoration of Dr. Manik Saha’s one year of chief ministership, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a food distribution programme in the Kaman Chaumuhuni area. Dr. Manik Saha had taken oath as the chief minister of the state on May 15 last year, following the resignation of former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb. After the BJP’s victory in the February 16 assembly elections, Dr. Saha was reelected to the post by the BJP legislature party. Ward no. 20 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) took the initiative to organize the free food distribution programme for the underprivileged in the area, with the presence of councillor Ratna Dutta.
To mark the one year of Dr. Manik Saha’s chief ministership, a food distribution programme was organized in the Kaman Chaumuhuni area. The event aimed to provide free meals to the poor and needy. This was evident during the ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ held in Charilam, where all senior leaders of the party, including central leaders Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Phanindra Nath Sharma, were present. Even West Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik, who has been somewhat distant from the state leadership, including Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, attended the event and actively participated in the proceedings.
The ‘Karyakarini Sabha’ held in Charilam showcased the unity and strength of the BJP in Tripura. Despite the controversial comment made by former CM Biplab Deb, the BJP in Tripura has remained resilient and focused on its mission. The party workers and supporters have continued their regular activities and responsibilities, unaffected by the unnecessary distraction caused by the statement.
