With the Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its political and organizational activities in Tripura’s hill areas. The ruling party has begun holding a series of meetings and outreach programmes to strengthen its grassroots network and consolidate support among tribal communities.
On Saturday, party leaders held a major organizational meeting at the BJP state headquarters. Several senior leaders, ministers, and office bearers of the Tribal Morcha attended the session.
Among those present were Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, State BJP President and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, BJP Tribal Morcha President Parimal Debbarma, and State General Secretary Bipin Debbarma. Several other leaders and office bearers of the Tribal Morcha also participated in the discussions.

Focus on Organization and Grassroots Outreach
During the meeting, leaders reviewed preparations for the upcoming elections and discussed strategies to strengthen the party’s presence in tribal-dominated areas. They also emphasized expanding the party’s organizational network at the booth level.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Manik Saha said the discussions focused on election preparedness and grassroots mobilisation. According to him, the party aims to ensure that its message and development agenda reach every household in the hill regions.
He urged party workers and supporters to highlight the state government’s development initiatives while engaging with people in remote areas. The Chief Minister also called for unity and coordination among party members to achieve a strong electoral performance.
“The ADC elections are crucial. Our workers must stay united and ensure that the party’s message reaches every household in the hills,” Saha said. He also expressed confidence that the party would receive strong public support in the elections.
Political Momentum Building Ahead of Polls
Political observers believe that the upcoming ADC elections have already intensified political activity across the state. Parties have started mobilizing their workers and strengthening organizational structures in preparation for the polls.
The BJP leadership has begun activating its party machinery early to gain an advantage in the electoral contest. Through meetings, outreach programmes, and grassroots campaigns, the party aims to consolidate its support base in tribal areas.
Leaders also stressed the importance of booth-level management and regular communication with voters. According to party officials, these steps will play a key role in building momentum ahead of the elections.
As the election date approaches, political activity in the hill districts is expected to increase further. The BJP’s recent meeting reflects the party’s strategy to reinforce its organizational strength and ensure a strong presence in the upcoming ADC polls.
