BSF Arrested Bangladeshi Smuggler, Recovered Gold Biscuits Worth More than 17 Lakhs

In Meghalaya too, smugglers are very active on the India-Bangladesh border. Cases of BSF action against smugglers keep coming up here every day. The latest case is from the Jaintia Hills border of Meghalaya’s western district. Here on Tuesday, BSF personnel have foiled a smuggling attempt by arresting a Bangladeshi national.

According to the information given by the Border Security Force, a Bangladeshi national has been arrested on the Jaintia Hills border of Western District. During interrogation, he has given his name as Mohammad Hasan Ali age 62 years. BSF has recovered 3 gold biscuits weighing 348 grams from him. The cost of these gold biscuits is being said to be Rs 17.57 lakh. Border Security Force officials said that at present he has been arrested. Advance action is being taken in the matter.
