CUET UG 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to begin the first phase of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate courses from today, July 15, 2022. A total of 14.90 lakh candidates have registered for CUET 2022 this year.
NTA will conduct CUET UG 2022 in two phases. NTA has already issued the CUET UG admit card and an important advisory for candidates on its official website — cuet.samarth.ac.in. Candidates are requested to download their respective admit cards from the official website.
5 POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND
1. The National Testing Agency, NTA, will conduct CUET UG 2022 in two phases. Phase 1 will be held on July 15, 16, 19 and 20, 2022, and phase 2 will be conducted from August 4 to 20, 2022.
2. CUET is being held in around 500 cities across India and 10 cities outside India. CUET UG is considered to be the second largest entrance examination in India.
3. A total of 44 central universities, 12 state universities, and 11 deemed universities, and 19 private universities have applied to adopt the CUET for UG admissions in the 2022-23 academic session.
4. Out of the total number of candidates, 8,10,000 candidates will appear for the CUET UG 2022 slot 1.These candidates have applied for 54,555 unique combinations of subjects across 90 universities.
5. The first phase of CUET UG 2022 will be held in two shifts: The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12:15 pm and the evening from 3 pm to 6:45 pm.
CUET TO BE BASED ON SYLLABUS OF CLASS 12TH
On March 29, the chairman of the University Grand Commission, UGC, M Jagadesh Kumar, said that the syllabus of the upcoming Common University Entrance Test, CUET 2022, will be completely based on the syllabus of Class 12. He further added that there would be no questions asked about the Class 11 syllabus. The UGC chairman has said that CUET will neither make the board exams irrelevant nor give a push to “coaching culture.””The universities will still use board exams as qualifying criteria. Some universities can peg the requirement at 60 percent, some may choose to set 70 percent as a requirement, so there is no question of board exams being made irrelevant,” he said.
STEPS TO DOWNLOAD CUET UG 2022 ADMIT CARD
Step 1: Visit the official website, i.e., cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, CUET UG 2022 admit card (Phase 1).
Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Enter the asked credentials and click on the submit option.
Step 5: Your CUET UG 2022 admit card will appear on the screen
Step 6: Download the same and take a printout for future reference.
