Rubber workers have deputed to the Divisional Manager at Takma TFDPC office in Shantirbazar sub-division demanding increase in salary and allowances.
A rubber factory was inaugurated in the area during the tenure of Nirpen Chakraborty as the Chief Minister of Tripura. 173 workers are working in that factory. Although the prices of goods have increased over time, the wages and allowances of the workers have not increased significantly.
Hence, today rubber workers have given deputation demanding increase in salary and allowances. They have given a deputation to the divisional manager of the factory with 5 point demands. They said that if the demand is not met, they will be forced to go to a larger movement in the future.
