Draupadi Murmu Visited Tripura, Sought Support For The Presidential Election

NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu visited Tripura on Tuesday to seek support for the July 18 election.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik, other leaders, ministers, and MLAs welcomed the Presidential candidate at the airport and later attended the meeting.

Draupadi Murmu had a meeting with the Ministers, MLAs, and leaders of the BJP and its ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). She sought the support of the MLAs and Ministers for her candidature in the Presidential poll.

“Today, Draupadi Murmu visited Tripura and held a meeting with BJP and IPFT legislators. She sought support for the presidential election. We assured her of all the support in the upcoming poll,” the Speaker said.

Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb told reporters that the NDA nominee will win the presidential election.” I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for choosing a woman candidate. She is traveling to all the states and seeking votes of legislators. We are sure of her win,” he said.

The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal accompanied the Presidential Candidate Murmu, who later left Agartala for Manipur capital Imphal.
