GSDP has grown significantly in the last ten years in Tripura. Similarly, the average per capita income of people has also increased. According to the Planning Department of Tripura Government, there is no significant difference between the average income of the people in the state and the national average income.
According to the data of Planning Department of Government of Tripura, GSDP in the state in the financial year 2011-12 was Tk 19208.41 crore. GSDP has increased to Tk 64778.08 crore in FY 2021-22. Similarly, in the financial year 2011-12, the average per capita income of the people of the state was Tk 47155. In the financial year 2021-22, the average per capita income of the state has increased to Tk 140803. Meanwhile, the national average per capita income in the financial year 2021-22 is Tk 15007. It shows that the state does not differ significantly from the national statistics in terms of average per capita income.
