To boost air connectivity in Assam, Alliance Air started its flight services from Lilabari airport in Lakhimpur district. The flight service was inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia from New Delhi. This flight service was inaugurated under the Central Government’s UDAN scheme from four other airports in the Northeast including Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh, Shillong in Meghalaya, Imphal in Manipur and Aizawl airports in Mizoram. Alliance Air will fly to Shillong four days a week and Ziro twice a week. At the same time, Lilabari-Pasighat and Lilabari-Tezpur flight services have also been started.
