The much-anticipated MR Asia 2024 competition was recently postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Many contestants from other countries failed to pass drug tests, forcing the organizers to implement a 60-day cooling-off period before the event could resume.
When asked about his journey from a novice to the prestigious title of MR Asia 2024, Soni credited his mother and late grandfather for their unwavering belief in him. “They were my biggest motivators. Back in 2012, when I failed my 10th-grade exams, people advised my mother to stop me from pursuing my dreams. But she, with unwavering faith, told them that I would one day make it big,” he recalled.
Fast forward a decade, and Soni’s prediction has come true. In 2022, he graced newspaper headlines and television screens, fulfilling his mother’s prophecy. His exceptional physique and dedication have earned him recognition from renowned Bollywood celebrities like Vidyut Jamwal, Vishal Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, and renowned singers like Salim Merchant.
Soni’s journey has also been inspired by former MR World titleholders Mothesham Ali and Thakur Anoop Singh. “When I met them, they praised my self-taught knowledge and encouraged me to keep pushing boundaries. Their words of wisdom have motivated me immensely,” he said.
