Manipur CM N. Biren Singh Extends Financial Aid to Victims of Terrorist Attacks


In a display of solidarity and condemnation against the recent terrorist attacks in Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh visited the families of the victims and provided financial assistance. The cowardly killing of four innocent villagers in Kha Khunou Ningthoukhong, Bishnupur District, has prompted the Chief Minister to assure the affected families of government support and a commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, during his visit to the families of the victims, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident. In addition to condemning the terrorist attacks, he provided financial assistance to the affected families. The victims, who were farmers, left behind families, including small children and elderly parents, further underscoring the gravity of the situation.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to hunting down the perpetrators and ensuring legal action against them. He stated that the living conditions of the families left behind by the victims are heart-wrenching, emphasizing the government’s determination to provide necessary support during these challenging times.

The Chief Minister’s visit followed a memorandum submitted by the Joint Action Committee, formed against the brutal killing of the four innocent farmers on January 20. The farmers were tragically killed while tending to their farm on January 18. The memorandum outlined the demands of the committee, including justice for the victims and swift action against the culprits.

Expressing profound condolences to the grieving families, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh assured them that the government is fully committed to providing necessary support. He reiterated the determination to apprehend the culprits and ensure justice is served in the aftermath of the heinous incident.

The bodies of the four farmers, victims of the Kuki militants in Ningthoukhong Kha-Khunou on January 18, will not be claimed if the committee’s demands are not met within the stipulated 48 hours, as mentioned in the memorandum.
