The Mizoram government has released Rs 3.41 crore to 683 beneficiaries under the third round of the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Special Package. The package operates under the state’s flagship Bana Kaih Handholding Scheme.
The government released the assistance in Aizawl district. Officials announced the disbursement on September 15, 2026. Each selected beneficiary, known as a Progress Partner, will receive Rs 50,000 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The latest disbursement aims to support people involved in agriculture, small businesses and other livelihood activities. The government has designed the Bana Kaih scheme to provide financial assistance and other forms of support to people who want to develop sustainable sources of income.
