The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, seeks eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I for the DST-SERB (CRG) sponsored project titled “Sign Language Translator for Identification of Health Conditions of the Deaf and Dumb Population for Medical Attention” within the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

- Post Title: Project Associate-I
- Number of Vacancies: 1
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech/M.Sc./M.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant branches from a recognized university. Research or project experience in the field of Machine Learning/Deep Learning is desirable.
- Salary:
- Rs. 31,000/- per month for candidates who have qualified GATE, NET, or any other national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- per month for other candidates.
- Age Limit: 35 Years (as of the closing date of application). Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will be provided as per Government of India rules.
